SOLUTEL has made a voluntary commitment to participate in the environmental, social and economic improvement of the community and its surroundings. We are aware that nature and the environment are not an inexhaustible source of resources, being necessary their protection and rational use. At SOLUTEL we promote socially responsible and sustainable behavior.

The four types of Corporate Social Responsibility adopted by SOLUTEL are: Environmental Social Responsibility, Ethical Social Responsibility, Philanthropic Social Responsibility and Economic Social Responsibility.

Environmental social responsibility

This is the way SOLUTEL assumes its role in the protection of the environment. SOLUTEL is committed to minimizing the environmental impact of its activities, products and services. They are also committed to promoting sustainable development and protecting natural resources.

SOLUTEL has implemented a series of policies and initiatives to be more sustainable and environmentally friendly. We highlight the use of efficient technologies to reduce energy consumption in our facilities through sensors, we are able to perform hybrid and remote work, we have selective spaces for proper recycling, we travel by public transport, bicycle and hybrid vehicles, we organize days for cleaning beaches, forests, rivers and mountains, we try to minimize unnecessary travel through collaboration tools and videoconferencing.

Our commitment to sustainability is present in all our business practices and policies. We take care of our environment both in our offices and in the way we do business and how our employees act on a daily basis. We work continuously to generate a positive impact, reducing our footprint on the environment.

Digitization of documents

More than 90% of the documents are digitized and the use of paper and ink has been reduced by more than 90%, taking up less space and also allowing us to share information more quickly among our work teams.

Recycling program within the office.

Stable office temperature

In the office, one of the highest consumptions comes from heating and air conditioning. This is why we maintain a stable and adequate temperature throughout the year. In summer 24º and in winter 20º. It is estimated that each extra degree of cooling represents a 7% increase in energy consumption.

We avoid unnecessary energy consumption or phantom consumption.

We use anti stand-by power strips to prevent cell phone chargers, cordless phones, computers, printers, etc. from being constantly connected to the network, thus reducing unnecessary constant consumption.

Reduce electricity consumption. Change from traditional lights to LEDs

We start by making the most of natural light, which is much better for working and offers other health and motivational benefits. We have changed the office lighting fixtures, all of which are LEDs. We educate the entire Solutel team about responsible consumption. The last person to leave the office checks all lights and equipment to make sure they are turned off.

More than 50% of the Solutel team does not use the elevator.

  • Takeback Incentive enables the collection and efficient management of the return of obsolete equipment, issuing a certificate confirming its recycling).
  • Cisco Refresh Program, which allows you to purchase remanufactured products, in perfect condition, with support guarantees, including software licensing and upgrades at a competitive price.
  • Green Pay program offers a 5% incentive on the total cost of the hardware for a 5-year payment plan. When returning the equipment, the customer receives a certificate confirming that these assets will be treated for reuse and become part of the circular economy.
